Cupressus Gold Rider

Evergreen Conifer

A striking golden selection of Monterey cypress prized for its vibrant, sunlit foliage and clean, architectural form. Ideal for coastal and Mediterranean-style gardens, screens, hedges, and bold specimen accents where year-round color and structure are desired.

Description

Cupressus Gold Rider is a luminous, fast-growing evergreen conifer with dense, scale-like sprays that flush bright golden-yellow on the sun-exposed tips while remaining richer green inside the canopy. Naturally narrow and pyramidal to columnar, it makes a refined screen or a sculptural specimen and carries a clean, citrusy aroma when the foliage is brushed.

Compared with many golden conifers, Gold Rider holds color well through winter and resists bronzing in full sun. It thrives in milder climates, tolerates coastal winds and salt spray, and develops best color and tight habit with abundant sunlight and well-drained soil.

Suggested Uses

Full-sun specimen Large patio container Deer-resistant screen Fast privacy hedge Cut winter greens Mediterranean pairings
