🌿 Shipping & Handling Policy — RedCrocus Inc.

As our tag line says, "Nature's Designs Delivered with Care", we at RedCrocus, take great care in packaging and shipping your plants so they arrive healthy, vibrant, and ready to thrive. Please read below to understand how we ship, when we ship, and how we ensure your order is protected.

📅 When We Ship and Where Do We Ship From

  • All shipping originates in Hopkinton, MA (01748) or Southborough MA (01772).
  • We currently ship within the continental U.S. only (No Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico).
  • We want all shipments to reach their destination before the end of the week so that they don't sit in a truck or warehouses over the weekend 
    • so we only ship Monday through Wednesday for all long-distance shipping to avoid weekend delays
    • if the destination happens to be somewhere in the Northeast US and we are sure that the shipment will reach before the weekend, then we ship those orders alone on Thursday or Friday
    • Orders placed after 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday will ship the following Monday.

📦 Shipping Options

  • When there is a promotional offer of free shipping, we ship using UPS or FedEx Ground mostly and rarely USPS. and try to get the order to you before the end of the week.
  • We have observed that the carrier shipping costs for a destination can vary based on the volume they ship during the week so if you have paid for the shipping and have selected a particular shipping method, we try to send it via that but if the costs have increased when we ship, we try to send it via a comparable method or something similar that gets the plants to you safely and as fast as possible. 
  • If you are in the west coast, we highly recommend that you select a paid expedited option (like 2-to-3-day shipping) to avoid carrier delays when Ground Option is used which can impact the plants. In our experience UPS is better than FedEx when it comes to long distance shipping so please select that during checkout. 
  • While we are not responsible for any packages lost or damaged during the shipping process, as a courtesy to our customers, we do offer replacement or refund. Please send us pictures of the damaged products and packages in those situations.

📦 How We Package

  • Each plant is securely wrapped and protected from movement using custom inserts.
  • Boxes are custom-fit using eco-friendly inserts.
  • We include care tips and clear delivery instructions for couriers.

🔥 Summer Heat Protection (May–September)

  • All orders include breathable packaging, and we are experimenting with cold packs given the extreme heat we have been having this year.
  • Depending on where the plant is being shipped to as well as the shipping method, we use self-watering bulbs that should keep the soil moist enough during the shipping period
  • Boxes are clearly labeled LIVE PLANTS.
  • We offer optional Hold for Pickup at UPS Access Points for temperature sensitive zones and locations. Please notify us if this is something you would like

🚚 Delivery Issues or Damage

If your plant arrives damaged or wilted, here’s what to do:

  • Email support@redcrocus.com within 24 hours
  • Include your order number and a clear set of photos of the plant and the damage
  • We’ll send a free replacement or issue a refund — guaranteed

🛑 Important Notes

  • We do not ship on federal holidays (e.g., July 4, Thanksgiving).
  • Orders cannot be canceled once shipped.
  • We may delay shipping during extreme weather for plant safety.
